Moslem Yacht Club
The Moslem Shrine Yacht Club (MSYC) was chartered in 1968. The Moslem Shrine Yacht Club purpose is to promote boating and social enjoyment among the members and families of the Moslem Shrine Temple. Our Club is a great way to stay connected and involved with the Shriners in the boating community. The Yacht Club is an active member of the Anchor Bay Yachting Association (ABYA) and participates in its activities and programs.
Membership in the Yacht Club is available to any member of Moslem Temple that is in good standing. There is no requirement to own or plan to purchase a boat. Many Nobles without boats belong to our Club for fellowship and to participate in our numerous activities.
The initiation fee is $15.00, which includes the first year’s dues. The annual dues are $15.00.
There is no probationary period.
Our Club meets the second Thursday of every month at 7:30 PM for a business meeting and fellowship at Mariners Boat Club, 31970 North River Road, Harrison Township, Michigan, telephone number 586-465-0265.
During the year we have numerous activities to promote fellowship and raise money for the good of Moslem Shrine Temple and Shriners Hospitals for Children. Activities include a Steak Outing and an Officer’s Installation party in January, an Anchor Bay Yachting Association (ABYA) sponsored weekend getaway in the spring, a Stag Boat Outing in June, a Pig Roast and weekend rendezvous at Metro Beach in July, a Commodore’s Ball in October, a fabulous Christmas Party in December and several other parties and outings with other ABYA member yacht and boat clubs. Club members and their guests are allowed full visita- tion privileges at all twenty-nine Anchor Bay Yachting Association (www.abya.org) member yacht clubs in the Lake St. Clair and Anchor Bay regions.
