Get ready Wayne ... cause here comes The Shriners!

Wayne Wheelfest Parade - August 28th, 2010

The next stop on our Moslem parade schedule is in Wayne Mi. If your choice of vehicle happens to be a Lincoln Navigator, Ford Expedition, or Ford Focus, chances are that it was built in one of Wayne's two Ford Motor Company plants. While Wayne is one of Detroit's smaller suburban cities, it's industrial might and small town flavor, coupled with it's big city amenities, more than makes up for what it might lack in sheer geographical area. With a population of about 21,000 residents, the City of Wayne is one of Moslem's favorite parade events, as most of it's citizens show up to watch their annual Wheelfest Parade in this beautiful 'midwestern heartland' town. All Moslem parade participants should plan on arriving at the staging area no later than 10:00am.

If you've never experienced seeing our Detroit Area Shriners on parade, this summer is full of opportunities to catch us in action in a city near you. Watch this site throughout the summer for our parade appearance schedule, then slap on some sunscreen, load mamma and the kids into the car, and come on out and watch us do our stuff! Treat your family to an American tradition as old as standing in line at the ice cream shop in summer. A good old home town parade complete with the guys in the tiny cars and distinctive red hats ... the guys they call "The Shriners!"
