The next stop on our 2010 Moslem parade schedule is in the lovely city of Canton, MI. Canton is a sprawling and ever growing suburban community which lies almost due west of Detroit itself. Canton residents are rightly proud of their Liberty Fest parade which seems to get bigger and better with each passing year. Our Moslem parading Units and Clubs, as usual, are eager to join in on the fun this year as the parade makes it's way down Ford Rd. All Moslem participants should plan on being at the staging area no later than 8:00am.
If you've never experienced seeing our Detroit Area Shriners on parade, this summer is full of opportunities to catch us in action in a city near you. Watch this site throughout the summer for our parade appearance schedule, then slap on some sunscreen, load mamma and the kids into the car, and come on out and watch us "do our stuff!" Treat your family to an American tradition as old as standing in line at the ice cream shop in summer. A good old home town parade complete with the guys in the tiny cars and distinctive red hats ... the guys they call "The Shriners!"

The following is a Safety ORDER from the Canton Police department.
Drop your equipment at Super Bowl 45100 Ford Rd and take your trucks, trailers, and cars to the Outback Steakhouse, 42871 Ford Rd. (SW corner of Ford & Lilley Rds.) There we will have some kind of transport back to staging area. If you are walking the parade, you can do what you want, but if you leave you car at the start you will have to walk back. NO one is to ride or drive their parade transport back to Super Bowl after the parade.
All Moslem parade participants should plan on arriving at the staging area no later than 8:00am |
